Welcome!
My name is Annie Behrent, and I am a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed School Psychologist in Colorado. With 17 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working in diverse settings that have shaped my approach to supporting students. I began my academic journey at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology. It was during my time working in the public school system that I discovered my passion for public education and for advocating for the diverse needs of learners.
I spent seven years as a Special Education teacher in North Carolina and Utah. Upon returning to Colorado, I made the decision to further my education and expand my career to include School Psychology. I earned my doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver, and completed my post-doctoral training to become a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Colorado.
My expertise primarily focuses on students with a variety of disabilities and learning differences, as well as gifted and twice-exceptional students. I have a deep understanding of how public school systems operate and am committed to finding strengths-based, collaborative solutions to support students with unique learning needs. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside children and their families to help them navigate their educational challenges and build upon their strengths.
